Presentation Description & Topics
Safety Culture First Mindset
An interactive, energetic presentation that has IMPACT.
The elite organization today creates an environment where employees want to be there, be
productive and feel valued. This happens ONLY when organizations create an atmosphere of
compassion, connection and clarity. You can make safety part of your cultural DNA.
We break the Safety Culture First Mindset down to the 3 C’s.
Compassion is contagious. When you let your people know you care about them, they are more
loyal, productive and it improves mental health.
Research proves connected teams are 60 percent more likely to stay than leave. That
consistency earns trust and improves teamwork and safety.
Clarity is the catalyst for growth. Culture is more important than strategy and people are more
important that profit. When an employee is crystal clear on their role and why it is important,
they are happier, healthier and more engaged.
When Joe works with organizations striving to build a World Class Culture, the results are:
- Recruiting and Retaining Talented Employees
- Developing a High-Performance, Highly Engaged Team
- Improving Engagement and Collaboration
- Fostering Less Stress, Less Wasted Time and Less Complacency
- Make safety part of the organization’s DNA.

Joe Schmit’s presentation was a knockout! The content, delivery, timing and customization of his message were all first-rate. We are enthusiastically looking forward to his second gig here for our franchisee conference. We are sure he will equally delight this group. Our President and COO was so impressed, he sent a personal note of thanks to Joe following the conference. You definitely have a winner in Joe Schmit and I would be happy to refer him to anyone looking for an entertaining and thought-provoking message, with powerfully personal moments. A+. – Bob Nye, HOLIDAY
Joe Schmit delivered a presentation to our fire department based on “silent impact”. The message of this presentation resonated powerfully with our work in public safety. Every day, on every call we have a “silent impact”, but our impact goes beyond the call, deep into our lives, the lives of our families and our communities. Joe’s presentation helped us to understand this message, reinforce its importance and rejuvenate our staff. It was funny, serious and relevant. If you’re looking for an engaging speaker with a message that public safety staff will immediately connect with, I strongly recommend Joe Schmit. – Hugo Searle, Fire Chief, Eagan Fire Department
I simply cannot count the number of clients who shared both in person and in writing how much they enjoyed your session. You impacted a group of leaders both professionally and personally and I want you to know that I am so impressed. Fantastic job! I know for me many of your topics hit home for me. Put things in perspective and made me realize how fortunate I am in my life and with my family. – Best Regards, DeAnna
Your presentation was a great way to lead off our fall conference! I am still hearing from superintendents in attendance that you connected with them on an emotional and intellectual level. You were so well-received and we are grateful! – Best regards, Deb Henton, Ed.D.
